Community Assistance Program

This program is based in West Palm Beach and offers limited amounts of financial aid (funded through the FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program as well as a small budget from Catholic Charities Emergency Assistance Fund) to pay rent, mortgage or a utility bill. All payments go directly to the landlord, mortgage holder or utility provider. Small amounts ($5-$15) in gift certificates from major grocery chains in Pam Beach County are distributed on a limited basis.   The client should preferably be working and self-sufficient. The emergency should be the result of a short-term drop in income due to illness of wage earner or loss of income because wage earner is caring for a sick family member; inability to meet financial obligations due to unexpected medical or prescription bills; temporary drop in income because of reduced hours, etc.

All requests are considered based on their own merits, regardless of circumstances. Client must complete a screening interview over the phone prior to scheduling an appointment for intake and application.
